The world’s most positive trainer
Specialities: Communication skills, presentation skills, interview skills, difficult conversations, resilience, well-being, time management, train the trainer
Andrea has a strong reputation in retail customer service and management as well as training. In her retail role Andrea had a strong desire to continuously grow, moving from market stall to being area manager for several different national retail brands and even she was part of the launch of the Burton Group flagship store in London. What better background to help organisations improve their management teams than someone who has been right there on the frontline as a manager themselves.
Her career moved into training following a serious choking incident with her daughter in 2009. After relying on pure instinct to help her daughter, Andrea undertook first aid training and was so inspired she decided to become a trainer herself. She joined the McCrudden team in 2011 and rapidly became one of our most popular trainers because of the positive can-do mindset that she brings to training. Nothing phases her.
Andrea loves to have fun whilst learning and considers herself the most enthusiastic trainer you’ll ever come across. As far as she is concerned, ‘you’ve got to have fun whilst training or the important stuff won’t stick’. A keen runner, using the exercise to clear her mind, Andrea beats the tarmac and has even undertaken some half marathons. She is also a member of her local amateur dramatics group, something that links in well to her role ‘performing’ as a trainer. As she says, “Entertaining your learners is part of the battle towards building their engagement and enjoyment of the course.”
